Description: Testing electro etching with a custom salmon inspired design
Lately I have been inspired by nature and in particular I have been drawn to the elegance of salmon jumping out of water. I got the idea to make this knife inspired by it and saw it as a great opportunity to test a new (for me) technique of electro-etching.
I think this technique unlocked a very interesting tool for me in future projects. The process is quite simple. Spray paint the knife. Scrape of the pattern. Electro etch using a 12v power supply and saltwater pads. (Note: Anode/Positive on the knife, Negative on cotton pad.) Sand off paint. Done!
